Telstra experienced an unplanned outage from approximately 4:25pm on Friday afternoon the 18th of July until 4:48am on Sunday the 20th July. This outage affected Internet Access for all Telstra/Bigpond Broadband customers (except users on NextG). Some customers who access their internet from other ISPs, may have also experienced outages of their service temporarily as well. The issue was infrastructure related, meaning that anyone who uses it to access the internet (Exetel, Optus, CE Internet etc) would have also been affected. Thankfully the issue was treated as priority and service was restored within 48 hours.

The AdvanceIT Security Box Trial, is not a limited evaluation version or time expiring device. The term “Trial” should be acknowledge as your participation by having a Security Box installed and configured in your establishment. You are trialling the device, in that AdvanceIT is not issuing you an invoice for your continued use of it’s protection and services. The AdvanceIT Security Box is not crippled or disabled in any way shape or form.

AdvanceIT reserves the right to cancel and stop the trial period at any time without prior warning.

At all times, the Security Box, remains and will always remain property of AdvanceIT.

The AdvanceIT Security Box is not to be opened or modified by anyone else other then an AdvanceIT representative. The Security Box (even while turned off) will log any events where the physical casing has been removed. Such events not corrosponding to onsite visits by AdvanceIT representatives, will result in the immediate revocation of the Security Box, with no further support to restore your system(s) to it’s previous state.

The computer (Security Box) installed into your establishment, should not be considered as the final product, and in no way represents the final product.

By participating in the trial, you will agree that AdvanceIT will not be held accountable for any attacks, viruses, spyware or adware that breach the device. In the event of such a scenario taking place, AdvanceIT will provide as much assistance as required to remedy the situation with no inclusion of additional charges.

If additional hardware is required to be purchased and installed into your PC to make it compatible with the Security Box, then the cost of the additional hardware must be covered by the participant at the time of the Security Box installation.

At all times, AdvanceIT can access the security box. This is for management and maintainence purposes only. Your browsing and other internet traffic uses are still and will remain private and confidential.

Express permission by the participant, must be given, before remote assistance will be enabled, and deployed. Future requests for remote assistance will also only be initiated after a request has been completed Via This Form.

The Security Box is more then just a replacement for Internet Security applications, such as Norton Antivirus and Firewall. Contact us for a full detailing of all the features and technologies the Security Box supports. As a participant, you are entitled to make full use of any and all of these additional features and technologies at not additional charge.

The Security Box functions and works entirely independently of any computer(s) it is protecting. Just leave it switched on 24/7 for maximum protection and performance. Switching the Security Box on and off may result in the Security Box becomming unstable and unsynchronised with the update network, which may further result in lesser protection and performance.
