Multi-Function SIP Extensions
The speaker supports multiple SIP registrations:
Page (50) – Auto-answers for live announcements.
Emergency Alert (10) – Plays a custom alert tone or message.
Ring (10) – Triggers a stored ring tone or WAV file.
Each extension can activate a unique audio file from the 1GB internal memory for events such as phone alerts, emergency warnings, or scheduled notifications.
Scalable IP Paging Across Any Building or Campus
The 8186 supports multicast send and receive, enabling flexible scaling.
You can deploy multiple Algo IP speakers, strobe lights, and adapters to cover large campuses, schools, or factories — all with minimal network traffic.
Only one device needs to be SIP-registered to send multicast audio. All receiving devices play the same announcement simultaneously.

Flexible Zone Paging
With up to 50 multicast zones, you can make targeted announcements easily. Zones can be selected in two ways:
SIP Mapping – Assign each zone to a SIP extension.
DTMF Selection – Use keypad input to choose a zone and minimize SIP registrations.
You can also combine the 8186 with other Algo IP speakers for specific rooms or functions like loud ringing.
Ideal for Schools,Warehouses, Factories, etc.
When paired with the Algo 8301 SIP Paging Adapter & Scheduler, you can create a multi-zone PA system with scheduled bells and announcements.
The 8301 can also connect to legacy analog systems, bridging traditional and modern audio solutions.

The Algo 8186-IC SIP Horn Speaker is a fully InformaCast-compliant endpoint, ideal for organizations using Singlewire InformaCast for emergency notification and paging.
It includes all the same features as the 8186, plus seamless InformaCast registration and integration. Like other Algo IP endpoints, it supports multicast send/receive, enabling large-scale deployments across buildings, campuses, or enterprises.
